A warm welcome to the Drucker Centennial Week websiteHere you will discover a wide range of interesting and engaging activities here in Claremont and elsewhere that I encourage you to explore. We’ve devoted a week to celebrate the life of the father of modern management, Peter Drucker, because we believe that his message is needed now more than ever. If you’re an alum of Drucker or CGU: welcome back! We are so pleased to have you as members of our community once again. Take advantage of seeing former classmates and faculty, to sit in on a new course, to attend one of the many Drucker Centennial Week lectures, and to feel once again The Drucker Difference. If you are new to the Drucker School and Drucker Institute: you, too, will be warmly received, as we are trying to expand the circle of Drucker disciples. Please feel free to roam the campus and to introduce yourselves to faculty, students and staff, all of whom will be delighted to assist you in any way they can. Drucker Centennial Week is a commemoration of the life and legacy of a great man. It is also a reaffirmation of the principles Peter Drucker stood for and that this school stands by: effective management, ethical leadership and social responsibility. Here at Drucker, in this lovely little city of “trees and PhDs,” nestled in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, you will discover a small and intimate community that cares deeply for one another and who share a conviction to make a difference in the world around us. Here, the learning is intense but also reflective, the education rigorous but also creative, the intent not only professional success but societal significance. If you join us for Drucker Week, and I do hope that you will, you will be joining a global movement of concerned citizens who are rededicating a part of their lives to keeping the flame alive and to passing the torch on to the next generation of Druckerites. When you arrive, feel free to stop by my office to say hello and to explore with me how you might get more deeply involved in the exciting, cutting-edge work of the Drucker School and the Drucker Institute. All the best,
